A solution
- For people: Rather than buying and accumulating more clothes, or dealing with consignment sales, app members can easily trade individual pieces or ensembles as often as they want
- For the planet: Exchanging vs donating apparel that ends up in landfills helps our planet, since “extending clothing life by nine months would reduce carbon, water, and waste footprints by 20 to 30%” (Textile Waste Statistics)
How it will work
- Members pay a monthly subscription fee to access looks and trade items using the in-app features
- There's no buying or selling—this is purely an exchange platform
- Members can pause or cancel their subscription at any time

This idea came about when I was figuring out what to wear for 3 DJ gigs on one weekend in late 2024. After selling 2 clothing items and buying 1, I thought: I could've just traded those. Xchange Fashion was born out of necessity and to address environmental issues that are avoidable. Collectively, we could be part of the solution while continuing to express ourselves freely.

This led me to adopt sustainable practices, and for over 10 years, I’ve embraced eco-conscious fashion. Now, I’m thrilled to co-create a platform that allows people to look good while also doing good for the planet. And for me, there is a profound sense of fulfillment in being part of the solution to an undeniable environmental crisis.
